Avian awarded visual ID
development work for HIE
Highlands and Islands Enterprise has appointed Avian to redevelop its visual identity. The work will cover refinement of the existing corporate logo and the suite of its existing local enterprise company logos.
One recent public misperception was of a, devolved, public sector network focused mainly on jobs creation. However HIE’s role has changed over the last 15 years and an evolution in the organisation’s identity was needed to reflect its move towards a more modern, unified, inclusive and enterprising organisation.
Ken Porter HIE’s senior marketing communications executive said “The organisation does a lot more than provide support for businesses in the Highlands and Islands and we felt that it was important that we refine the brand at this time to make it more inclusive and open it up to the wider more diverse stakeholders who now require our services.”
Porter went on “We were keen to ensure that it was an evolutionary development but that we didn’t lose the iconic nature and power of the original brand”.
George gall Avian’s Managing Director commented “This is a great win for the agency and we are obviously delighted to work with HIE - particularly as Avian’s roots lie in Baillie Marshall that was the agency that created the original set of HIE logos over 15 years ago.”
