15 April 2013 Clipper Round the World Crew Member

Following a lengthy application and interview process Scott McCallum, our MD has been selected to compete in next year’s Clipper Race.

The ‘Clipper’ is a round the world yacht race and Scott has been selected to compete in the final transatlantic leg of the race from New York to Portsmouth.

Although Scott does not compete in the race until July ’14 he will be completing 3 x 1 week race training courses over the coming months.

A keen amateur sailor Scott is really looking forward to the challenge – ‘This is a fabulous opportunity to complete ‘a once in a lifetime’ experience. I am really looking forward to both the mental and physical challenges the Clipper will present.’ Scott is currently researching local, Dundee based, charities as he intends to use the Clipper experience as a money raising adventure.

Scott will also keep us in touch with how training and race preparation progresses via Facebook and Twitter.

TCOE Rebrand

Avian have rebranded ‘The Tayside Centre for Organisational Effectiveness’ as TCOE.

Working with the client since December 2012 with the initial remit of redeveloping the organisations corporate identity, Avian have now been engaged to develop and manage the client’s brand and how this develops over all marketing communication material.

Recent developments include the publication, online of a new ‘poster’ or ‘microsite’ outlining TCOE’s objectives and service proposition together with the design of new Profile and Case study literature for a showcase exhibition event in London.

SafeHouse

Sometimes a client comes along that fits perfectly with what we do best.

SafeHouse is one such client. When they first approached us they were looking for a new profile/product brochure and some clarity on their brand proposition.

In a very short space of time (5 weeks), Avian have successfully rebranded SafeHouse with a more succinct name, brand architecture and visual identity.

Initially this involved the production of new stationery and signage for the client’s headquarters in Dundee, together with interior graphics and vision messaging. We are now in the process of developing profile and sales literature for the marketing of SafeHouse and their products worldwide.
