Essential Customer Understanding // A combination of an extensive review of competitive websites & customer feedback led to Walkers agreeing to a complete redevelopment of their corporate website. Through consultation, areas highlighted for attention included; more intuitive navigation, a redeveloped trade customer section, a new product list, WAI level II compliance & inbuilt flexibility to offer a future e-commerce solution.
Creative Connection // A bespoke navigation system was created to accommodate the complex layers of product information. New photography matching Walkers brand tonality of ‘romantic Scottish history’ was specified and over two hundred shots taken, covering, the entire product range. The site was built on our content management system, Editaur™, and then content loaded through databases.
The trade section was re-designed to give an easy to use ordering tool for trade customers and nutritional information for each product added. An automatic PDF generator was developed so that any product specification sheet could be printed or downloaded at any time.
Genius Effect // The site now regularly receives over 600 unique visits per day and through a monthly competition initiative receives over 1,000 new registrants every month. The site ranks first or second on most search engines through a combination of development programming, search engine optimisation and easy meta-tag up-dates through Avian’s Editaur™ content management system.
